Engineering firm Dilip Buildcon recently said its joint venture, DBL-RBL (JV), has emerged as the lowest bidder for a ₹268 crore infrastructure project in Gujarat.

In a regulatory filing, the company stated that the contract involves the design and construction of the Ged barrage, along with associated protection works and allied activities across the Sabarmati river stretch between the Hirpura barrage and Lakroda weir in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district.

The project will be executed on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis and will also include operation and maintenance responsibilities for a period of 10 years. The construction phase is expected to be completed within 24 months, the company added.

The tender for the project was issued by the Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpasar Department of the Government of Gujarat.
