Dixon Technologies to Invest ₹1,000 Crore in New Laptop Manufacturing Plant at Oragadam.

Noida-based Dixon Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government to establish a new manufacturing facility at Oragadam, near Chennai, with an investment of ₹1,000 crore.

The plant, to be located at the IndoSpace Industrial Park, will focus on manufacturing laptops and all-in-one personal computers. The facility is expected to generate employment for around 5,000 people.

Founded in 1993, Dixon Technologies is a leading homegrown electronics manufacturing services company with a client list that includes Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, Panasonic, TCL, and OnePlus. Its diverse product portfolio spans consumer electronics such as LED TVs, home appliances, lighting products, mobile phones, wearables, and refrigerators. The company also offers reverse logistics services, including repair and refurbishment of LED TV panels.

In the third quarter of FY25, Dixon reported a net profit of ₹217 crore on revenues of ₹10,461 crore. The company currently employs around 22,000 people across its operations.
