Dixon Technologies to Launch Sriperumbudur Plant by May, Plans ₹1,000 Crore Investment.

New Delhi-based Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd., a leading electronics manufacturing services provider, is set to inaugurate its new plant in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, by April or early May, according to Vice Chairman & Managing Director Atul B. Lall. This will mark the company's 24th manufacturing facility in India.

Lall anticipates a strong financial year, expecting Dixon to double its revenue from nearly ₹18,000 crore last year.

“The campus is almost ready. In the first phase, we are investing ₹250-300 crore, but over three years, our commitment is ₹1,000 crore,” Lall said at an event in Chennai on Tuesday.

The Sriperumbudur plant will focus on high-tech manufacturing, including producing 3-4 million laptops annually, server manufacturing, and backward integration initiatives such as an SSD (solid-state drive) plant. The company also plans to expand into mechanicals and precision components.

Dixon Technologies, which already has manufacturing units in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Andhra Pradesh, views Tamil Nadu as a key growth market due to its strong industrial ecosystem and government support.

As India’s largest homegrown design-focused electronics manufacturer, Dixon serves major brands across consumer electronics, lighting, home appliances, and mobile phones. Its client list includes Xiaomi, Samsung, Panasonic, Reliance, Wipro, Motorola, Nokia, and Airtel.

The company operates R&D centers in India and China and employs over 22,000 people.
