Dubai RTA Launches 'Stadium' Bus Station, Revamps Several Bus Routes

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to inaugurate the new Stadium Bus Station in the Al Qusais area on Friday, 3rd May. This new bus station is strategically located next to the Stadium Metro Station, meeting a growing demand for public transportation in this bustling part of the city.

The opening of the Stadium Bus Station is expected to shorten travel times and improve connections with other mass transit options, making commuting more efficient for passengers. Several bus routes will start from this new station, including routes 19, F22, F23A, F23, F24, and W20, while route 23 will also pass through it.

In addition to the new bus station, RTA is making improvements to several express lines to ensure faster journeys for commuters. Adjustments will be made to routes 62, X02, X23, X22, X13, X25, X92, X64, and X94, with changes to the X28 route to end at Agora Mall. The inter-city bus line E102 will also be modified to serve the Musaffah Bus Station on weekends, providing improved connections between Al Jaffiliya Station and Zayed International Airport Terminal A.

RTA will also revise the schedules of 30 routes, including 19, 23, 27, 43, 62, C04, C10, C15, C18, D03, E102, E307, E400, F08, F17, F22, F23, F23A, F24, F51, W20, X02, X13, X22, X23, X25, X28, X64, X92, and X94. All these changes will take effect on 3rd May 2024.

Route 91A will be discontinued, but commuters can use route 91 as an alternative, which operates between Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Jebel Ali Port Zone.

RTA's commitment to enhancing Dubai's public transportation network is evident through these improvements, designed to integrate bus services with other modes of public transit, such as the metro, tram, and marine services. The changes aim to ensure that Dubai's public transportation system continues to meet the needs of its growing population and provide efficient, reliable, and interconnected travel options.
