"EIH Aims to Complete 20 New Properties by 2029"
EIHL, the parent company of Oberoi and Trident hotels, has announced an ambitious pipeline of 20 properties set to be completed by 2029. This includes 17 hotels, two luxury boats, and a Nile Cruiser, marking a significant expansion in both domestic and international markets.
The pipeline consists of 11 hotels in India and nine internationally, with destinations spanning London, Egypt, Bhutan, Nepal, and Saudi Arabia. Once completed, 16 of these properties, including the boats and the Nile Cruiser, will operate under the Oberoi brand, while the remaining four will be part of the Trident brand. The expansion will add approximately 1,350 keys to the company’s portfolio. Additionally, the mixed-use developments in Bengaluru and Pune will feature commercial, retail, and F&B spaces totaling around 11.71 lakh square feet.
Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman of EIHL, highlighted the company’s strategic growth, noting that the expansion plan includes both owned and managed properties. “Our growth trajectory reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences while focusing on environmental, social, and governance principles to build a sustainable future for luxury hospitality,” he said.
In addition to the expansion news, the company reported strong financial results for Q2FY25, with a 41% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹132.70 crore, compared to ₹94.14 crore in Q2FY24. Revenue from operations also grew by 11% to ₹588.99 crore. Vikram Oberoi, CEO & Managing Director, attributed the strong performance to high demand and the dedication of the company’s teams. “Our record-breaking second-quarter results reflect the unwavering trust our guests place in our brand and our team's commitment to delivering exceptional service,” he said.
