Flying Wedge to Establish India’s First Full-Spectrum Autonomous Combat Aircraft Hub in Andhra Pradesh.

Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace (FWDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish a 500-acre Autonomous Combat Aircraft Manufacturing and Testing Facility in the state, with an investment of ₹1,169 crore.

The Bengaluru-based defence technology and AI warfare company expects the project to create over 1,000 jobs, including 800 direct and 200 indirect positions across research and development, advanced manufacturing, and allied industries.

Slated to become India’s first full-spectrum autonomous combat aircraft hub, the facility will support end-to-end research, design, assembly, testing, and systems integration, aiming to boost indigenous manufacturing, enhance technological self-reliance in critical military platforms, and reduce dependence on foreign systems.
