FORVIA Plans ₹2,000-Crore India Investment to Achieve €1-Billion Business Milestone.
Global automotive technology supplier FORVIA plans to invest around €200 million (about ₹2,000 crore) in India by 2030 as it seeks to more than double its India business from €450 million to over €1 billion by the end of the decade, highlighting the country's growing importance in the group's global manufacturing and technology strategy.
The company, formed by combining the businesses of Faurecia and HELLA, generated global revenue of €26.15 billion in 2025. In India, it supplies seating, electronics, lighting, clean-mobility systems and cockpit technologies to leading vehicle manufacturers, including Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen Group, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, Ashok Leyland and VE Commercial Vehicles.
India currently contributes about 1.7 per cent of FORVIA's global revenue but is expanding at an annual rate of around 11 per cent, nearly twice the pace of the domestic passenger vehicle market. The planned investment will support the company's efforts to expand its manufacturing footprint, deepen localisation and develop advanced automotive technologies in the country.
"India is becoming one of the world's most dynamic automotive markets and a strategic pillar of FORVIA's growth trajectory. We are expanding our industrial footprint, strengthening localisation and investing in advanced technologies because India will play a much larger role in our future growth," FORVIA Chief Executive Officer Martin Fischer told businessline.
