Foxconn Begins iPhone 17 Production at New Bengaluru Plant.

Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn has reportedly started production of the iPhone 17 at its newly established plant in Bengaluru. This facility, located in Devanahalli, is the company's second-largest manufacturing unit outside of China and represents a significant investment of approximately $2.8 billion (₹25,000 crore).

Sources familiar with the matter confirmed that the Bengaluru factory has begun small-scale production of the latest iPhone model. This new manufacturing site will supplement the production already underway at Foxconn's Chennai unit.

As the world's largest manufacturer of iPhones, Foxconn's expansion in India is seen as a key part of Apple's strategy to diversify its supply chain and increase its manufacturing footprint beyond China. The operational commencement of the Bengaluru plant is a major step toward solidifying India's role as a global electronics manufacturing hub.
