General Mills Expands India Footprint with ₹100 Crore Nashik Plant Investment

General Mills India recently inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Nashik, investing around ₹100 crore to expand its production capacity for Pillsbury bakery products. The new unit marks the company’s second manufacturing plant in the city.

Located in Maharashtra, the facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies and adheres to global quality standards, with a strong emphasis on food safety and efficient resource utilisation. The company said the plant has been designed to streamline supply chain operations, reduce delivery lead times and enhance the availability of Pillsbury products to bakeries across India.

The expansion is expected to generate both direct and indirect employment opportunities across manufacturing, logistics and support services in the Nashik region. In addition, the new facility is likely to spur demand for local suppliers of raw materials and ancillary services, contributing to the area’s broader economic development.
