Global Players Confident in India's Aero Component Manufacturing Potential: Minister Naidu.
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu recently highlighted the growing confidence of global aerospace companies in India’s aircraft component manufacturing capabilities, citing Airbus as a key example.
Speaking at an event in New Delhi, Naidu referred to the recent partnership between Airbus and Mahindra Aerostructures for the manufacturing of fuselages for the H130 helicopter. The ceremony marked the official signing of the contract between the two companies.
“The interest shown by global players like Airbus reflects the strong potential of the Indian industry in aerospace manufacturing,” Naidu said.
The Airbus H130 is a single-engine helicopter designed for a wide range of missions, including passenger transport, tourism, business aviation, medical evacuation, and surveillance. The collaboration is seen as a boost to India's positioning in the global aerospace supply chain.
