Goa Cabinet Approves ₹2,500 Crore Worth of PPP Development Projects Across State.
The Goa cabinet recently approved seven major development projects worth a combined ₹2,500 crore, to be executed on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis across the state.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the PPP model will enable faster project completion without burdening the state’s finances. “If the government were to undertake these projects alone, it would have had to invest at least ₹2,500 crore,” he noted.
The projects include the redevelopment of the Junta House and Circuit House buildings in Panaji, construction of a new Prashasan Stambh, reconstruction of government quarters at St Inez, rebuilding the government garage in Panaji, and development of the Kadamba Transport Corporation’s bus stand in Vasco, South Goa.
These projects will be executed by the public sector undertaking National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) under the PPP framework, with work expected to commence within the next 10-15 days, the CM added.
The move is part of Goa’s strategy to enhance infrastructure through collaboration with private players, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing public resources.
