Government to Channel Bulk of ₹10,000 Crore Startup Fund into New-Age Tech Sectors.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry plans to allocate a significant portion of the recently announced ₹10,000 crore Fund of Funds Scheme (FFS) to startups in emerging sectors such as new-age technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine building, a senior official has said.

Announced in the Union Budget, this second edition of the FFS aims to boost early-stage innovation and entrepreneurship. A similar fund was previously launched in 2016 to support the Indian startup ecosystem.

“We are going to dedicate a lot of this ₹10,000 crore fund of funds largely for the new age tech, AI, and machine building,” the official said, highlighting the government’s intent to fuel the next wave of tech-driven innovation in the country.
