Govt to fund Rs 450-mn for development

Sahiwal: The district government is spending funds amounting Rs 450 million to facilitate the people in various sectors during the current year, said District Nazim Rai Hassan Nawaz Khan.

Talking to a delegation of Nazims and prominent personalities of Chichawatni here on Wednesday, he said that a number of development schemes are being executed in education, health, communication, irrigation and agriculture sectors.

He said that the projects of gas facility for the Civil Hospital Chichawatni and construction of a burn unit have been completed. The DN said that a project of issuing computerised birth and death certificates at union council level has been started, while funds amounting Rs 10 million have been allocated for providing agriculture tools to farmers on rent, to help them ensure higher yields.
