HCC bags Rs 375.17 cr contract from ISPRL

Mumbai: Infrastructure construction and development company Hindustan Construction Company said it has bagged a Rs 375.37 crore contract from Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Ltd (ISPRL) to construct a crude oil storage facility at Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The order is for construction of underground rock caverns for storage of crude oil. It includes detailed engineering and design, underground excavation, access tunnels, water curtain galleries, main storage cavern, shafts and associated underground civil works including geological mapping. The project is scheduled for completion in 36 months. This project is part of the three strategic crude oil storages with a total capacity of five million tonnes planned by ISPRL, a subsidiary of Oil Industry Development Board. The first of these oil storages of 1.33 million tonnes capacity is planned in Vishakhapatnam.
