HCC plans Renewable energy Park in Gujarat at an investment of Rs.12,000 Cr Ahmedabad: Hindustan Construction Company plans to set up a renewable energy park at Dholera Special Investment Region in Ahmedabad district at a cost of Rs.12,000 Crore.

The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gujarat Government for the same. The MoU was signed at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

The park will come up on 600 acres within the land offered for the proposed waterfront city at Dholera. It will offer a platform for global leaders looking to set up research, development, consultancy and manufacturing of components businesses in renewable energy segments such as solar, geo-thermal, wind and bio-mass. The project is expected to create about 17,000 jobs.

The planning and development work of the entire Special Investment Region has been in progress over last two years and the State has finalised the master plan and is preparing a draft development plan and town planning schemes.
