Hyderabad Metro Phase 2: CM Revanth Reddy Orders Expedited Works.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to expedite the expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail network in the Old City under the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase 2 project.

At a review meeting on the Metro Rail expansion project on Tuesday, Reddy asked officials to complete road-widening works along the 7.5-km stretch between MGBS and Chandrayangutta at the earliest and initiate the tender process for Metro works on the corridor.

He also instructed officials to consult the Delhi Metro for assistance in determining the appropriate technology for the project.

The Chief Minister directed officials to take measures to manage the expected passenger load, including procuring additional Metro rail coaches and adding extra coaches to trains where required.

Reddy also reviewed preliminary arrangements for the ‘Invest Telangana Global Summit’, scheduled to be held in December.

He directed officials to take necessary steps for the event and prepare a plan to honour prominent personalities from various business sectors.

The Chief Minister also asked officials to submit a detailed report on investments attracted and the progress made following last year’s summit, according to an official release.
