IAI–DCX Radar Facility Groundbreaking Held in Tamil Nadu.

A groundbreaking ceremony for a new radar manufacturing facility was held on Tuesday at the Shoolagiri Industrial Area in Tamil Nadu, marking a key milestone in the defence partnership between Israel Aerospace Industries’ ELTA Systems and DCX Systems Ltd.

According to a statement issued by IAI, construction of the facility is expected to be completed by April 2027, with production slated to begin soon after.

Once operational, the facility is expected to significantly enhance capabilities in surveillance and threat detection. It will also contribute to building a robust local defence ecosystem through collaboration with suppliers, startups, and academic institutions, the company said.
