NCB, UltraTech Cement Collaborate on Skill Development Initiatives in Construction Sector.
The National Council for Cement and Building Materials recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UltraTech Cement to strengthen skill development in India’s construction sector.
Under the partnership, the organisations will run training and certification programmes for civil engineers, contractors, ready-mix concrete (RMC) professionals, construction workers, and masons across the country. The programmes will cover material quality testing, concrete mix proportioning, durability, and sustainable construction practices.
The initiative will also include workshops, site demonstrations, seminars, and visits to cement plants and RMC facilities to provide hands-on experience, officials said.
“The collaboration is expected to contribute to capacity building in the construction sector. A large number of professionals and workers will be trained over the next three to five years under this initiative,” said LP Singh.
The MoU was signed at NCB’s Ballabgarh campus by Singh and Rahul Goel. Aligned with the Government of India’s flagship programmes, including the Skill India Mission, the collaboration aims to develop a skilled workforce to meet the demands of the country’s growing infrastructure and housing sectors.
