IDA Plans Elevated Corridor, Flyovers to Boost City Infrastructure.
Indore Development Authority (IDA) has proposed an elevated corridor from Malwa Mill Square to Bhamori (near Wow Hotel) and flyovers at Rasoma Square and Robot Square to improve urban mobility.
At a board meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh on Wednesday, the IDA approved the appointment of consultants to conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed project reports for these infrastructure projects. Additionally, a consultant will be engaged to develop an urban forest plan in Scheme Number 97.
The board also sanctioned the selection of a transaction advisor for the maintenance and operation of the Senior Citizen Building in Scheme Number 134 and the Inter-State Bus Terminals in Scheme Numbers 139 and 169-A. The advisor will focus on optimizing revenue generation and operational efficiency.
In the meeting, a consultant presented a revised design for the Startup Park in Scheme Number 151 on the Super Corridor, with plans to develop it under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The board also reviewed a proposal for constructing a convention center on a 17-hectare plot in Scheme Number 172, with a final decision expected soon.
Further, the IDA approved the allocation of land—2,000 sq m for an Agromart and 5,000 sq m for a government gas agency office. A project management consultant will also be appointed for road construction work under TPS Scheme Number 4.
