"IESW 2024 Set to Showcase ₹2,000 Crore Investments Unveiling"
India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024, a premier event focused on energy storage and advanced battery technologies, is set to unveil investments worth ₹2,000 crore for diverse initiatives. Organized by the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), the event will take place in New Delhi from July 1 to 5, attracting over 150 key partners, more than 1,000 companies, and participation from various Ministries including New & Renewable Energy, Heavy Industries, Power, Road Transport & Highways, Mines, and Electronics & IT.
Australia, Norway, and Finland are the esteemed country partners, with the government of Western Australia serving as the global state partner for IESW 2024. Notable product launches at the event include a 20 ft BESS System, a specialized solvent extractant for cobalt recovery from lithium-ion batteries, isothermal air compression & expansion technology for extended energy storage, and composite overwrapped pressure vessels for green hydrogen storage.
IESW 2024 is expected to witness the signing of five MoUs, including a significant agreement between IESA and Powering Australia. The event will also feature announcements of five new factory setups, such as Singapore-based VFlowTech's plans to launch the largest long-duration energy storage manufacturing facility in Palwal, Haryana, with a current capacity of 100 MWh per annum and future scalability to a gigafactory.
Nash Energy will debut its domestically produced Li-Ion battery cells manufactured in Karnataka, with an initial capacity of 600 MWh per year scalable to 1.5 GWh. BatX Energies will unveil its state-of-the-art battery recycling and materials extraction facility, HUB-1, capable of processing 2.5 thousand tonnes of battery materials annually, alongside Lohum's announcement to venture into next-generation manganese-rich lithium-ion battery technology.
Further adding to the innovations, Bharat Cell by Khusmanda Power will announce a 2 GWh manufacturing facility, underscoring India's burgeoning prowess in advanced energy storage solutions showcased at IESW 2024.
