Imagicaaworld Acquires Malpani Parks Ahmedabad, Plans India’s Largest Waterpark.
Imagicaaworld Entertainment Ltd (IEL), a Mumbai-based company, is set to build what it calls "India's largest water park" near Ahmedabad after its board approved the acquisition of Malpani Parks Ahmedabad Pvt Ltd (MPAPL).
The acquisition, valued at ₹75 crore, will be executed through a combination of a share purchase and a fund infusion to cover liabilities, making MPAPL a wholly-owned subsidiary of IEL. The deal, which still requires shareholder approval, secures 34 acres of prime land with clear title and highway frontage.
According to an official release, this is IEL's third project in Gujarat. The company already operates the Aqua Imagicaa Water Park in Surat and is involved in the Sabarmati Riverfront project in Ahmedabad.
"The Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar belt will now witness the launch of the country’s largest water park," said Jai Malpani, Director, Imagicaaworld Entertainment. "This investment reinforces our geographical growth strategy and strengthens our position as India’s most trusted entertainment brand."
The new water park is planned to feature world-class rides, slides, and attractions built to international standards, aiming to set a new benchmark for entertainment infrastructure in the country.
