Infosys Unveils New Development Center in Nagpur

Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, has officially opened a new development center at the Mihan-SEZ in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The cutting-edge facility, spanning 265,000 sq.ft., represents an investment of over INR 230 crore by Infosys. The center is designed to provide increased flexibility for employees to work in a hybrid mode and to facilitate the re-skilling and up-skilling of local talent. In addition, it will offer opportunities for employees to engage with next-gen technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital solutions, spanning various industries such as telecommunications, banking, retail, aerospace, automobile, logistics, and manufacturing.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Mr. Nilanjan Roy, Chief Financial Officer, Infosys, Mr. Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar, Executive Vice President, Infosys, Mr. Tarang Puranik, Senior Vice President, Infosys, Mr. Niladri Prasad Mishra, Vice President, Infosys, and other senior government officials.

The newly inaugurated development center is designed to accommodate over 3,000 employees and aligns with Infosys’ forward-looking hybrid workplace strategy. Emphasizing Infosys’ commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, the center follows green building standards and prioritizes occupant health and efficiency. The campus incorporates low-energy cooling systems, smart building automation, efficient rainwater harvesting, and 100% recycling of wastewater.

Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari expressed his enthusiasm for the new development center, highlighting its significance in contributing to the growth of the city and creating employment opportunities. He emphasized the role of Infosys’ Nagpur center in fostering a world-class IT services and solutions environment in the city.

Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis commended Infosys for putting Nagpur on the global development center map and praised the company’s commitment to green practices and sustainability. He expressed optimism about the collaboration with Infosys contributing to a better future aligned with state and national visions.

Nilanjan Roy, Chief Financial Officer, Infosys, underscored the center's role in continuous innovation, anticipating contributions to business growth, job creation, sustainability, ecosystem development, and the provision of cutting-edge solutions and services to local and global businesses.
