Kiran Energy and Mahindra Solar to set up 50MW solar Power project

The U.S.-based photovoltaic manufacturer has signed an agreement with Kiran Energy Solar Power Pvt. Ltd and Mahindra Solar One Pvt. Ltd to deliver over 585,000 modules to the two adjacent projects. Construction is slated to begin this year, and should be completed by Q1 2013.

The projects have been commissioned under the second batch of India’s Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (NSM). They are expected to generate enough energy to supply more than 97,000 average Indian households.
