KKR-Backed Serentica Plans to Raise Up to $8 Billion for India Green Energy Push.

Serentica Renewables plans to raise between $6 billion and $8 billion over the next five years to fund acquisitions and build new projects as it aims to more than double its clean energy capacity, a senior company executive said.

The KKR-backed firm intends to invest $10 billion to $11 billion to expand its clean energy portfolio to 17 gigawatts (GW) by 2029/30, according to chairman Pratik Agarwal.

As part of its growth strategy, Serentica is exploring the acquisition of projects that are already operational or currently under construction.
