"KP Energy Wins Bid for Wind-Solar Hybrid Project"
KP Energy Limited witnessed a remarkable upswing of 4.34% in its shares following the company's latest achievement – securing an order from Aditya Birla Renewable Energy Limited. The order pertains to the development of a robust 23.1MW wind-solar hybrid power project, representing a significant contribution to India's renewable energy initiatives.
The scope of the project encompasses the establishment of the Balance of Plant, a crucial component ensuring the efficient operation of the wind-solar hybrid power project. This infrastructure will be seamlessly integrated with the existing 140MW power evacuation facility at Fulsar PSS.
Key elements of the project include the installation of 11 wind turbines, commonly referred to as wind-operated electricity generators or windmills. These turbines, manufactured by Suzlon, each boast a rated capacity of 2100 kW and are characterized by a towering hub height of 140 meters.
KP Energy Limited is entrusted with a comprehensive range of responsibilities for this venture, encompassing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC). This entails an array of tasks, including land acquisition, design, manufacturing, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning for the balance of the plant. Moreover, the company will navigate the complexities of securing the requisite approvals and permits for the successful execution of the project.
The wind-solar hybrid project is slated for completion in the financial year 2024-25, signifying a crucial step towards the fulfillment of India's renewable energy objectives.
