"K&R Rail Engineering Signs MoU for $500 Million Cable Car Project in Nepal"

K&R Rail Engineering has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Muktinath Darshan Private Limited, a concessionaire working in partnership with the Government of Nepal, for the execution of what is poised to become the world's longest cable car project. The ambitious project carries an estimated cost of half a billion US dollars and will establish a vital connection to the revered Muktinath Temple in the Gandaki province of Nepal. This significant development was announced by the Hyderabad-based company in a press release on Friday.

The Nepalese government has granted all the requisite approvals for this groundbreaking project, and K&R Rail Engineering Limited is set to take the helm in executing the 84.32-kilometer-long cable car project, which is set to become the longest proposed Passenger Cable Car Line globally.

Speaking about the project, Kalra, President of K&R Rail Engineering, stated, "The project will have 20 stations, including nine mandatory boarding and deboarding stations, eight optional ones, and three technical stations. It is a monumental undertaking that will greatly benefit the countless devotees who embark on treacherous journeys to reach the revered Muktinath Temple, situated at an altitude of 3,700 meters."

This transformative project promises to ease the pilgrimage experience for devotees visiting the Muktinath Temple by providing a convenient and comfortable means of transport, eliminating the need for arduous treks across challenging terrain.
