Kyndryl, a leading IT infrastructure services provider, has announced a major three-year growth plan for India, pledging to invest $2.25 billion to modernize essential technology infrastructure and expand its presence in the country. A key part of this strategy is the establishment of an AI Innovation Lab in Bengaluru.
The company's commitment aims to cultivate "future-ready talent" and deepen its technological capabilities. The new AI lab will be a central hub for Kyndryl's artificial intelligence initiatives, with plans to collaborate with the Government of India on AI-related projects.
“Kyndryl is a proud, trusted partner to our customers and an employer of choice to tens of thousands of Kyndryls across India,” said Martin Schroeter, Chairman and CEO of Kyndryl. “We’re committed to further developing our people, expanding our technical capabilities and strengthening community partnerships to support growth, innovation and opportunity.”
In addition to the AI lab, Kyndryl's investment will focus on developing a skilled IT workforce. The company also plans to support digital training for approximately 200,000 Indian citizens, a move that aligns with the government's push for digital literacy and skills development.
The announcement highlights Kyndryl's focus on one of the world's fastest-growing technology markets and its role in helping Indian organizations transform their digital operations.
