L&T secures Rs. 770-mn contract from RCF

Mumbai: Engineering and construction company Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has been awarded a Rs 77-crore order to provide methanol reformer package, as a part of the ‘Trombay Methanol Revamp Project’ for Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF), Chembur. This project is of importance to RCF to enhance overall energy efficiency, reliability and life of the methanol plant along with augmentation of capacity from present 180 TPD to 220 TPD of methanol product, L&T said in a release. The owner has retained Haldor Topsoe A/S of Denmark as the process licensor and Projects & Development India Ltd (PDIL) as project consultant. The order comprises detailed engineering, supply, fabrication, installation, testing, assistance for pre-commissioning and performance guarantee test runs.
