Mahanagar Gas Plans to Expand CNG Stations to Over 400 This Fiscal Year.

Mahanagar Gas, a leading player in the CNG and piped natural gas sectors, plans to expand its network of gas stations to over 400 in the current fiscal year, according to Managing Director Ashu Shinghal in an interview with Businessline. The company derives over 70% of its revenue from the CNG segment and sees significant growth potential in light of the increasing emphasis on non-polluting fuels.

Mahanagar Gas has also applied for an extension of its infrastructure exclusivity in Geographical Area 1 (GA1), which includes greater Mumbai and expired in 2020. While the company anticipates much of its growth to come from Geographical Area 3 (GA3) in Raigad, it also expects expansion in other geographical areas as it enhances its network infrastructure.
