Maharashtra to Host Country's Largest Industrial Park, Announces Piyush Goyal.

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal announced on Saturday that Maharashtra will be home to the country’s largest industrial park. Speaking at a press conference, Goyal, who represents Mumbai North in the Lok Sabha, revealed that this new industrial park is part of a broader initiative that includes a total of 12 industrial parks announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the recent Budget.

These industrial parks are being developed under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP), which aims to create employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth, contributing to overall socio-economic development. The establishment of these parks is in line with the government’s focus on employment, infrastructure, and urban development.

Goyal praised the Budget presented by Nirmala Sitharaman, describing it as "financially prudent" and free from populist measures. He emphasized that the Budget supports a long-term vision and reinforces the strength and fundamentals of the Indian economy. Goyal highlighted that a solid economic foundation is crucial for achieving the goal of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) and noted that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Sitharaman have demonstrated India's commitment to progress and development on the global stage.
