Mahindra Logistics Plans Rs. 170 Crore Investment in Warehousing Facility Near Pune
Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL) revealed plans on Tuesday to construct a new warehousing facility in Phaltan, near Pune, with a substantial investment of Rs. 170 crore.
Spanning an extensive area of 6.5 lakh square feet (sq ft), the upcoming facility will be developed in two phases. The initial phase, covering 3.5 lakh sq ft, is anticipated to be operational by the conclusion of 2024, as per the company's statement.
Mahindra Logistics aims to leverage the new facility to oversee inbound logistics for manufacturing and distribution solutions catering to a diverse clientele in the automotive and manufacturing sectors located in the region.
The investment of Rs. 170 crore, to be undertaken in multiple phases by the company and its partners, underscores a commitment to the development of the new facility and its associated infrastructure.
"To enhance our capabilities and meet the rising demand, we are expanding our multi-client warehousing network across India. Our latest facility in Phaltan is strategically located to augment the overall business ecosystem for our valued clientele in the region," stated Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Logistics Ltd (MLL).
Positioned strategically, Phaltan offers proximity to key customers in the automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and components sectors, enhancing the facility's appeal and potential impact on the business ecosystem.
