Manipal Health Enterprises is strengthening its presence in Bengaluru’s fast-growing Whitefield micro-market with a ₹130-crore acquisition of Kinder Women’s Hospital in Doddanekundi.
The healthcare company has signed a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with Kindorama Healthcare to acquire the hospital’s entire operations and assets in an all-cash transaction. The deal is structured as an asset and business transfer and does not involve the acquisition of shares.
The 100-bed Kinder Women’s Hospital, commissioned in 2022, will be added to the Manipal Hospitals network following the transaction. The acquisition is expected to further consolidate Manipal’s presence in Whitefield, where the group already operates larger hospitals and has an established healthcare ecosystem.
Dilip Jose, Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Health Enterprises, said the acquisition would strengthen the company’s presence in the region while complementing its existing healthcare infrastructure.
“The acquisition of Kinder Women’s Hospital strengthens our presence in Bengaluru’s fast-growing Whitefield micro-market and complements our existing healthcare ecosystem in the region,” Jose said.
He added that Manipal Health remained focused on building its clinical expertise and capabilities to provide high-quality, patient-centric care to communities it serves.
The transaction marks another expansion move by Manipal Health in Bengaluru, one of its key markets, as demand for organised healthcare services continues to grow across the city’s rapidly developing eastern corridor.
