Midwest Energy Begins Commercial Production at 1.2 GWh BESS Plant in Bengaluru.

Midwest Energy, the clean energy arm of Hyderabad-based Midwest Business House, has commenced commercial production at its 1.2 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Bengaluru.

The integrated cell-to-container manufacturing facility comes as India accelerates the deployment of battery energy storage systems to support the growing share of renewable energy in the grid and enhance grid stability. The plant will produce battery modules, racks and containerised energy storage systems for commercial, industrial, renewable energy and utility-scale applications, with the company targeting both domestic and export markets.

The facility has an annual manufacturing capacity of 1.2 GWh and can produce battery energy storage systems ranging from 3 kWh to 6 MWh (48V–1500V), catering to a wide range of commercial, industrial, renewable and utility-sector requirements
