MIHAN Initiative Drives Job Growth and Industrial Investment in Nagpur.

The Multi-Modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) project has emerged as a major employment and investment driver in Maharashtra, Information Technology Minister Ashish Shelar told the Legislative Council recently.

According to the Minister, the project has so far generated jobs for 1,27,225 people. A total of 120 companies have invested in MIHAN, covering both SEZ and non-SEZ areas, with 90 of these firms already commencing operations.

Shelar highlighted that the State government has actively addressed the needs of project-affected persons within the framework of the law. Measures include provision of land, compensation, enhanced compensation, house construction expenses, plots, and financial assistance for building homes, ensuring that local communities benefit alongside the industrial development.
