Modi inaugurates ₹10,601-crore fertilizer plant in Assam.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently laid the foundation stone for a ₹10,601-crore brownfield ammonia-urea plant in Dibrugarh district, Assam.
The new facility, Assam Valley Fertiliser and Chemical Company Ltd (AVFCCL), will have an annual urea production capacity of 12.7 lakh metric tonnes and is expected to be commissioned by 2030.
The foundation stone was laid on the final day of Modi’s two-day visit to Assam, at the plant site located within the existing premises of the Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Ltd (BVFCL).
