MPs' support sought for getting projects cleared.

Minister for Public Works H.C. Mahadevappa recently sought the support of MPs from the State for the early approval of various State and national highway projects.

Mr. Mahadevappa chaired a breakfast meeting with MPs at the Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi, and asked the MPs to put pressure on the Centre for early clearance of pending projects.

Major projects awaiting the Centre's clearance are upgrading of State highways into national highways, development of NH from Jewargi to Chamarajanagar, provision for wayside amenities, junction improvements, and upgrading of Mysuru–Bengaluru Road.
