Mundka to Bahadurgarh Metro gets green light.

The Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety has given mandatory approval for the start of passenger operations on the 11.2 km-long section between Mundka and Bahadurgarh, subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions and stipulation, said DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal recently.

Mr. Dayal also said the exact date of opening will be intimated after compliance of the same by the DMRC.

The line is an extension of the Inderlok-Mundka corridor on the Green Line. After the completion of this corridor, the entire Inderlok-Bahadurgarh section will become 26.33 km-long. This section will be Delhi Metro’s third connectivity to Haryana, adding to the operational services to Gurugram and Faridabad. The DMRC said the entirely elevated section will not only connect the city with Bahadurgarh but will also provide connectivity to outer Delhi areas of the western fringes such as Mundka, Ghevra and Tikri Kalan.
