Namo Bharat's Sarai Kale Khan Station Completed, Pending Final Approval.
The Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station in Delhi is now fully prepared for operations and is set to become a pivotal interchange for three major Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridors. Trial runs at the station have been successfully completed, and the ultimate decision regarding its public opening now lies with the state government, as reported by The Times of India.
"The final touches are being given to the station," stated an official from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), the agency spearheading the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. This strategic hub at Sarai Kale Khan is designed to offer seamless connectivity, integrating the RRTS network with the Delhi Metro’s Pink Line, Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, the Veer Haqeeqat Rai inter-state bus terminal, and existing city bus services.
The official further emphasized the station's thoughtful design, noting, "The Namo Bharat station here has been designed in a way to ensure seamless integration with all modes of public transport." This comprehensive connectivity aims to significantly enhance commuting convenience for millions in the National Capital Region.
