NBCC India and NMRDA Sign MoU for Development Projects.

In a major push for urban development, NBCC (India) Limited and the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 8, 2025, for the "Development of Naveen Nagpur." The project aims to create a state-of-the-art business district in the city.

The MoU was formally signed by Shri K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC, and Shri Sanjay Meena, IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner of NMRDA. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and other key officials from both organizations.

Under the agreement, NBCC has been appointed as the Project Management Consultant for the newly envisioned business district, which will span a total area of approximately 1,710 acres. Of this, 1,000 acres are designated for the business district, with the remaining 710 acres reserved for future expansion.

The project will be developed on a "plug-and-play" model, featuring cutting-edge infrastructure. This includes integrated underground utility tunnels, a district cooling system, an automated waste collection system, and a segregation plant. Naveen Nagpur will focus on creating a conducive environment for commercial establishments, including spaces for startups, MSMEs, IT companies, and corporate offices, alongside residential and mixed-use developments. The project is planned to be rolled out in a phased manner over the coming years.
