New Aerospace Complex for Aircraft Integration, Testing to Come Up in Andhra Pradesh’s Puttaparthi.

The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is set to establish a world-class aircraft integration and flight testing complex at Puttaparthi in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh.

The proposed strategic facility is expected to play a key role in advancing India’s ambitious Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme, along with future indigenous combat aircraft and unmanned aerial systems initiatives.

According to a state government release issued on Thursday, the project has received in-principle approval from the Ministry of Defence after sustained engagement between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Government of India.
