New hotels to be launched by Le Meridien in India

Mumbai: Le Meridien has planned to open five new hotels in India in the next three to five years.

It will setup five new hotels and resorts in India having 1,000 rooms capacity. The hotels will be set up in Tier I and Tier II cities. Presently, Le Meridien has hotels at Ahmedabad, Cochin, Jaipur, New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.

The Le Meridien brand Hotel was acquired by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc in 2005. Presently, it has 105 properties in 50 countries.
