Noida International Airport's Landing Trials Postponed, Set to Begin from Nov 30.

The landing trials at Noida International Airport, originally scheduled to begin on Friday, have been postponed due to pending approvals from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), an official confirmed. The trials are now expected to commence on November 30.

Initially, the plan was to begin testing the runway on November 15, following the approval of the calibration report. The tests were to involve daily landings and takeoffs of three aircraft each from aviation companies Indigo and Akasa.

Dr. Arunvir Singh, CEO of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), stated, "Due to the non-receipt of permission from the DGCA, the runway tests for the Noida International Airport have been postponed. We are preparing for the tests to begin from November 30."

Once the trials are completed and the aerodrome license is issued by the DGCA, the airport will be cleared for commercial operations. Earlier this month, the 'Beech King Air 360 ER' aircraft conducted a series of flights from October 10 to 14 to test the airport's instrument lighting system.
