"NTPC Green Energy has added 37.5 MW of solar power in Gujarat, which means the whole group now manages 8,347.78 MW of energy."
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the commencement of commercial operations of 37.5 MW of solar power capacity at Bhuj in Gujarat, further adding to India’s renewable energy portfolio.
The newly commissioned capacity forms the third phase of a 150-MW solar project being developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd. Ayana is a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, a joint venture between ONGC and NTPC.
In a regulatory filing with stock exchanges under SEBI Regulation 30, NGEL said the 37.5-MW capacity has been declared commercially operational with effect from January 17, 2026.
Following the addition, the total commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 8,347.78 MW, up from 8,310.28 MW earlier.
The Bhuj solar project is expected to contribute to India’s renewable energy targets and efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Gujarat continues to emerge as a major hub for large-scale solar power development in the country.
