Patel Engineering Ltd JV Emerges as L1 for Rs. 525.36 Crore Irrigation Project

The Irrigation & CAD Department of the Government of Telangana has announced that Patel Engineering Limited (PEL), in collaboration with its Joint Venture (JV) partner, has been declared as the lowest bidder (L1) for a contract valued at Rs. 525.36 crore. The contract pertains to the Construction of RCC Protection Wall along both flanks of River Munneru, spanning between Polepally and Prakashnagar in Khammam City, Khammam District.

The project, slated to be completed within a timeframe of 24 months, aims to fortify the riverbanks along the specified stretch. Situated in Telangana, the project will be executed through a joint venture, with PEL holding a 51% stake.

The scope of work entails the construction of an RCC Protection wall, each stretching over 8.5 kilometers along both the right and left flanks of River Munneru. Additionally, embankments spanning 2 kilometers on either side of the river near the Nagarjuna Sagar Left Bank Aqueduct in Khammam city are also part of the project's ambit.
