"PG Technoplast Launches New Integrated AC Manufacturing Facility in Rajasthan"

PG Technoplast Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PG Electroplast Limited (PGEL), celebrated a significant achievement today with the inauguration of its new air conditioning manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. This investment underscores the company's commitment to meeting the rising demand for energy-efficient and sustainable cooling solutions in India and solidifying its presence in the expanding air conditioning market.

The unveiling ceremony featured notable industry leaders, including Mr. Kamal Nandi (Business Head and Executive Vice President, Godrej Appliances), Mr. NS Satish (President, Haier India), and Mr. Pradeep Jain (Managing Director, Jaina India), who officially opened the state-of-the-art facility.

The new manufacturing plant spans 200,000 sq. ft and is designed to produce a wide range of split AC units, with capacities ranging from 0.75T to 2.0T. It has an installed annual capacity to manufacture 360,000 AC Indoor Units, 360,000 AC Outdoor Units, and 250,000 Window ACs. The facility encompasses comprehensive production capabilities, including sheet metal components, a powder coating plant, heat exchangers, and copper tubing systems. It is expected to generate employment for over 1,000 people.

Sustainability is a core focus of the facility, which features a state-of-the-art Learning Centre to train apprentices and stakeholders, providing continuous on-the-job learning. In addition, the facility employs water conservation and integrated facility management systems to minimize waste from plastic, corrugated materials, and paper.

PG Technoplast has been recognized as the first beneficiary to receive incentives under the government's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the air conditioning components target segment, thanks to its incremental investment and sales performance during fiscal years 2021-22 and 2022-23. This accolade solidifies PG Technoplast's position as the second-largest original design manufacturer (ODM) for Room Air Conditioners in India, having entered the category just three years ago in 2021.
