Plea to Protect Cauvery Water Project Infrastructure in Dist.

The president of the Ambur Consumer Protection Movement, Gunaseelan, has urged the chief engineer of TWAD (Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage), responsible for implementing the integrated Cauvery Drinking water project for the Vellore district, to ensure that sumps and other infrastructure facilities constructed along the pipeline as part of the project are properly protected to ensure contamination of the water does not occur and are not damaged.

In a letter sent to the board, Gunaseelan, said that the ground level sumps, pumping and power infrastructure constructed are left open and unprotected.
