Plush to Expand Retail Presence to 2,000 Stores Within Six Months.

Personal hygiene brand Plush is set to expand its retail footprint to 2,000 stores over the next six months, up from its current presence in 500 outlets across Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad.

Alongside its expansion, the Chennai-based startup is moving towards local manufacturing. “For the past six months, we have been working on manufacturing our products in India by partnering with third-party vendors. We have shortlisted two locations in North India to set up a plant,” said Ketan Munoth, co-founder of Plush. Currently, the cotton used in Plush products is imported from the U.S.

The company designs its products in-house and collaborates directly with raw material manufacturers to customize certain components, which are then assembled by contract manufacturers in India and overseas, depending on expertise and material availability.

Founded in 2019 by Ketan Munoth and Prince Kapoor, Plush specializes in feminine care products, including period care, hair removal, intimate wellness, and skincare solutions. The brand was launched to address common hygiene concerns such as rashes, irritation, and redness.

Plush reported a revenue of ₹60 crore in FY24, up from ₹23 crore in FY23. The company is also planning a fundraise in the next six months. “We’ve received strong interest from institutional investors and family offices. Since we were well-capitalized, we didn’t raise funds earlier, but now we are actively looking at funding options,” Munoth added.
