"Power Mech Projects secures L1 position for Mumbai Monorail’s O&M contract."
Power Mech Projects Ltd has emerged as the lowest bidder for the operations and maintenance (O&M) contract of the Mumbai Monorail project, according to officials familiar with the bidding process.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) had invited bids for the O&M contract with a tenure of 1,825 days. Technical bids were opened on November 12, 2025, with four firms participating in the tender process. Following the technical evaluation conducted on January 1, 2026, two bids were rejected, leaving two firms qualified for the financial bidding stage.
After the opening and evaluation of financial bids, Power Mech Projects Ltd was declared the lowest bidder with a quoted value of ₹296.4 crore. Adani Infrastructure Management Services Limited submitted a bid of ₹308.4 crore.
The scope of the contract includes the operations and maintenance of the Mumbai Monorail corridor from Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk to Chembur.
At present, Phase 1 of the Mumbai Monorail project is operational. The phase comprises a single corridor spanning 19.54 km, connecting Chembur, Wadala and Jacob Circle.
