PR 104-mn project gets nod in Punjab

Lahore: The Punjab government has approved a project to construct office buildings for area water boards in Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Lower Bari Doab canal circle at a cost of Rs 104 million, Senior Minister Raja Riaz said.

The project is part of the irrigation sector reforms. Raja Riaz said 52 farmer organisations in Bahawalnagar and 55 farmer organisations in Lower Bari Doab Canal circle had been constituted to play their due role in maintaining the canals and distributaries in the canal command areas.
