Prostarm Info Systems Secures LOI from Bihar State Power Generation Company.
Prostarm Info Systems Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL) for the establishment of a 30MW/120 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The agreement, signed on June 16, 2025, marks a significant step towards enhancing grid stability and renewable energy integration in Bihar.
The project will operate under a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model for a period of 12 years, with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support. Prostarm Info Systems will receive a rental of ₹4.44 lakh per MW per month, translating to an annual rental of approximately ₹15.98 crore for the entire 30MW/120 MWh system.
The Battery Energy Storage System will be set up at various Grid Substation (GSS) locations of Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL) across Bihar. This initiative falls under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mode, promoting competitive procurement for essential power infrastructure.
